Classic shaker kitchen in Llancarfan

This Llancarfan barn conversion presented a unique design challenge. The kitchen needed to complement the character of the building and its rural setting, while also appealing to potential buyers as the property was being prepared for sale. We carefully considered the proportions, architecture and style of the property before creating a timeless Shaker kitchen in a soft ivory finish. Our aim was to make the kitchen feel as though it had always belonged in the barn, rather than appearing as a modern addition.

Our involvement went well beyond supplying cabinetry. We designed the space as part of the wider property, carefully balancing traditional character with contemporary quality and practicality. The Shaker cabinetry, Silestone worktops and considered choice of finishes created a kitchen that felt both authentic and luxurious, without becoming overly personal or fashionable. This is where our design expertise added real value: making the right decisions about proportion, materials, colour and detail to ensure the investment enhanced the property as a whole.

The finished kitchen became a key feature of the home and helped create a strong first impression when it came to market. The property sold within weeks.
