Elegant shower room design in Cardiff

This Cardiff ensuite shower room had become tired and was showing clear signs of deterioration. Our client, Sue, loved her home but recognised that the room needed more than a cosmetic update. The existing bathroom was stripped back to the studwork, giving us the opportunity to completely rethink the space and create a fresh, contemporary shower room that would be both practical and enjoyable to use.

The design combines classic metro wall tiles with a clean white floor, creating a light and timeless backdrop. Carefully selected contrasting elements bring the room to life, including the minimalist vanity unit, shower tray and striking gun metal brassware. The knurled detailing on the tap and matching shower valve adds texture and a subtle sense of luxury, while the solid brass construction provides the quality and durability expected from a well-designed bathroom.

Although this is a relatively compact space, careful planning allowed us to make the most of every available centimetre. The result is an elegant and welcoming ensuite that feels considerably more modern while remaining practical for everyday use. It is a great example of how thoughtful bathroom design can transform a tired room into a space our client can genuinely enjoy.
