Mr and Mrs Witherspoon had already spoken to several local kitchen companies before finding us, and none of the designs on offer solved their real problem: blending a newly converted garage seamlessly with their existing kitchen space, rather than leaving two rooms that never quite felt like one.

A bespoke breakfast bar in matching Lima Mountain Larch anchors one end of the room, complete with a hidden wine chiller that the family put to constant use, while generous workspace was built in specifically for a keen young home cook. Garage conversions often end up feeling like two rooms stitched together. Done properly, with the structural realities designed around rather than ignored, they become the best room in the house.
