Jeremy and Connie knew exactly what they were after: style, practicality, a real splash of colour — and somewhere for the cat to chill out. Fans of handleless German kitchens, they wanted a minimal look built to stand the test of time, with Jo handling every aspect of the transformation, from floor tiles and furniture through to ceiling extraction and lighting.

The finished room pairs Lima Chestnut Basalt with Champagne Gloss for genuine depth and contrast, topped with a chunky 60mm Silestone worktop in Haiku that makes a real statement of solid, tactile quality. A glass splashback and cabinet panel in mulberry provide the finishing flourish of colour the brief called for. Considerable thought went into the electrics too — ceiling, task and mood lighting were all layered in to add real form and function, while the extractor fan was specifically built to sit within the ceiling joists, avoiding the need for an unsightly bulkhead.

This space was originally two separate rooms, knocked through into one genuinely practical family kitchen designed around this busy couple's varying needs. The result has transformed Jeremy and Connie's day-to-day life — a beautiful home with a dream kitchen that delivers on every level, exactly as promised.
