Light Grey shaker kitchen with classic styling

Mr and Mrs Griffiths had recently completed an open-plan extension at their Penllyn home, and needed a kitchen that genuinely made the most of the new space. They wanted a light, spacious, and true to the classic look they'd always wanted for their rural South Wales setting.

Shaker cabinetry with solid wood Aldana doors was high on the priority list. The fronts were finished in a soft light grey colour around the room's outer edges and paired with Silestone Yukon worktops. The central island takes on a bolder gunmetal grey finish, topped with a striking Sensa 'Ice Blue' granite worktop that gives the whole room a real focal point. A Rangemaster cooker, NEFF microwave, Caple wine chiller and Samsung American fridge freezer round out the appliance specification, keeping the technology firmly up to date whilst complementing the classic styling.
