Mr and Mrs Lewis were still living with the original builder's kitchen fitted twenty years earlier — tired, cramped, and long overdue a rethink. They wanted to explore removing the dining room wall to open the space up, but more than that, they wanted a single company they could trust to manage the entire project from start to finish. After a series of genuinely collaborative consultations, Jo Buckerfield designed the new layout and organised every stage of the build herself — electrics, plumbing, plastering, structural building work and the kitchen fit, all under one roof. Partway through, the team discovered the original conservatory floor screed had failed, laid poorly over the underfloor heating years before. We don’t cut corners and went all in to resolve the issue. Jo had the old screed removed and properly relaid before any tiling went ahead. This is the kind of issue only a fully managed renovation catches before it becomes a costly future repair.

The finished room is a handleless German made kitchen with a Corian worktop and a striking mulberry burst glass splashback, This is proof that a genuine, full-service renovation delivers more than just a beautiful kitchen; it protects the home underneath it too.
