Modern bathroom refresh in Pontcanna Cardiff

This Victorian terrace in Pontcanna, Cardiff, had a bathroom in need of a complete refresh. Our client, Elin, wanted to replace the dated room with a contemporary, minimalist bathroom that would complement the character of her home. We explored a number of design options, including different layouts and the possibility of incorporating a separate shower, before developing the final scheme.

Good bathroom design is often about solving practical problems as much as choosing beautiful products. We looked carefully at how the pipework could be concealed and incorporated a new cupboard to hide the boiler, creating a much cleaner appearance. The finished room also includes a number of considered touches that elevate it beyond a standard bathroom, including underfloor heating and a Bluetooth mirror with integrated speakers.

Our design process is collaborative, giving clients the opportunity to explore different layouts, colours, materials and styles before making their final choices. In this case, the result is a calm, contemporary bathroom that combines clean lines with practical storage and a few luxurious touches. It demonstrates how a well-planned bathroom renovation can completely transform an existing space while making everyday life more enjoyable.
