Neutral bathroom design in Cowbridge

Not every client wants a bold design statement and a good designer knows when restraint is the right call. This family in Cowbridge asked for something practical, neutral and easy to live with. Our job was to deliver exactly that while still finding room for craft and character.

Large-format light grey floor and wall tiles provide a calm, easy-clean backdrop, flexible enough to suit any future scheme. At either end of the room, two contrasting feature walls add quiet interest: a gloss blue brick-bond tile behind the bath, and darker grey tiles with illuminated niche recesses framing the walk-in shower, tying the two palettes together.

Behind the scenes, we concealed as much pipework as possible to keep the lines clean, using only branded cisterns and brassware installed by skilled plumbers. A bathroom this considered has to perform as well in ten years as it does on day one.

The result is a family bathroom with genuine longevity: understated today, with the design scope to evolve again in future without starting from scratch.
