Mr and Mrs Baines were planning a large rear extension and brought us in early — while the build itself was still being designed — to make sure the kitchen and utility space worked hand in hand with the wider architecture, not as an afterthought once the walls were already up.

The result is a light, airy space built for exactly what the couple wanted: room to cook, entertain and gather as a family, all in one open-plan area. Handleless German made units in a neutral palette keep the room feeling calm and spacious, while a Dekton Zenith worktop adds understated, durable style. A carefully considered lighting scheme ties the whole space together and complements the rest of the house.

The real measure of success came afterwards. The Baines family have been so delighted with the finished room that they've referred us to friends — several more kitchens have followed as a direct result.
