Open plan kitchen diner in Pronorm Midnight Blue

Jo and Aled inherited a genuinely awkward kitchen space when they bought their home in Llanishen, Cardiff. The rear extension was a great size. Unfortunately, for some reason the previous owners had built it around the original boiler room rather than removing it first. The old boiler room limited the space considerably and, once removed, meant replacing the steel beam spanning the rear opening.

This isn't work anyone should attempt as a DIY project, but our team, working alongside Cardiff's planning officials, made the transformation look easy. The finished kitchen combines Pronorm X-Line and Y-Line cabinetry in Midnight Blue Ultra Matt with a light grey island. The whole look is lifted by Oak Sepia detailing on open shelving and the breakfast bar. Caple Sense ovens, a NOVY recirculating extractor hob and a Quooker Fusion Square boiling water tap round out a genuinely dream specification.
