School house kitchen

This wonderful old school house in Wimbledon, part way through a full property refurbishment, had already had one kitchen company attempt the job. They had fitted a handleless white gloss design completely at odds with the traditional Victorian building. Your Space Living was brought in to put things right, working closely with the project's interior designer. This project required numerous visits to Wimbledon to get the space genuinely correct.

Entertainment was high on the client's priority list, so the design centres around a central island that acts as a natural gathering point for guests. The colour scheme included Mussel coloured cabinets around the walls, with a Suede coloured cabinets for the island. We paired these shades with a Silestone Amazon worktop. This was chosen to complement the wider refurbishment, creating a calm, neutral palette that sits comfortably against the property's period character. Storage was another key demand, so steels were cleverly concealed and the room's full height put to use, all set beneath the original ornate plaster coving.

This was a genuinely collaborative, design-led process. The result was a kitchen that truly complements the home. A wonderful family space that is both practical and beautiful in equal measure.
