Around 90% of Your Space Living's work comes from returning clients and referrals, and this project is a good example why. Mr and Mrs Witherspoon — for whom we'd already completed a garage conversion kitchen — came back to us to turn a spare room in their Llantwit Major home into a genuinely bespoke study.
They knew exactly what they didn't want: an off-the-shelf desk-and-shelving solution that never quite fits a room properly. Instead, they wanted to be involved in the design from first sketch to final fit, with furniture built specifically around how they actually work. After trying several layouts together, we installed a bespoke work area with surrounding storage, colour and finish matched precisely to the home's existing interior doors and skirting boards, so the study reads as part of the house rather than an added-on room.
It's a small-scale project by square footage, but it shows the same design discipline that goes into every Your Space Living room, however large or small: proper collaboration with the client, furniture built to measure rather than bought off the shelf, and a genuine eye for how a new space should feel connected to the rest of the home.
