Traditional blue in-frame kitchen on a grand scale

When Nia and Nick decided to undertake a large extension project, they came straight to our design studio in Llantwit Major. The brief called for a design proportional to the scale of the space, with traditional styling that could incorporate pre-existing furniture. They wanted to keep a number of old furniture items as part of the finished kitchen. We worked alongside their own builder throughout to deliver the best possible result for this fantastic family home.

Handmade cabinets with solid wood in-frame doors were the only real option for a property of this scale and style. The result is a totally bespoke design built precisely to the space, with full-height, floor-to-ceiling cabinets and a handmade mantle that stands as a genuine centrepiece.

Most kitchens sold in the UK come from volume retailers, whose factory-made units are designed to a minimal value proposition. In other words, a good enough quality to do the job and no more. Our approach is the opposite: we look at how to add value using the best materials and high-quality, branded components, built by home grown Welsh talent into kitchens we can genuinely be proud of. Nia and Nick recognised that difference immediately, in both the quality and the service.
