Traditional Kitchen in Penarth

When Mr and Mrs Jones of Penarth took on a complete ground floor renovation and kitchen extension, they wanted a team capable of a genuinely top quality result. They didn’t wand an off-the-shelf fitted kitchen, but a stunning kitchen and utility room built inside a substantial new extension opening out onto the courtyard. Jo Buckerfield and Your Space Living were brought in to deliver exactly that.

Mrs Jones favoured traditional styling, but insisted on a kitchen that was fully up to date and packed with modern features. Raised and fielded doors gave the room its classic look, with two contrasting paint finishes adding real depth. This included suede on the outer units, stone on the island. The worktops took considerable effort to source and fit. They chose long runs of Silestone Unsui across the base units, with huge slabs of Sensa Granite in Glacial Blue crowning the island.

High-tech NEFF appliances were chosen specifically for their reputation for quality and durability, matching their good looks with genuine performance. It was a huge amount of work, but Mr and Mrs Jones were thrilled with the result. This is proof that traditional style and modern performance were never mutually exclusive to begin with.
